🏈 Big news for Northwestern football fans! Northwestern has unveiled plans for the new $850 million Ryan Field, set to open in 2026. Designed as a “year-round community asset,” the stadium will have a 35,000-seat capacity, making it the smallest in the Big Ten. Despite its size, it promises a state-of-the-art experience with all-weather seat coverage, a canopy to enhance home-field acoustics, and nearly double the required ADA seating, making it the most accessible stadium ever built.

This project is expected to generate a $1.3 billion economic impact in the Chicago area, including $659 million for Evanston. The development includes significant opportunities for minority- and women-owned businesses and community benefits like parks, event spaces, and youth sports facilities.

The stadium is more than just a football venue—it’s envisioned as a hub for community events, concerts, and more. It’s a game-changer for Northwestern and the region! 🎉
